 Chassell Centennial Park

Located on Pike Bay, a sheltered cove off the south end of Portage Lake. You'll find it in the center of Chassell by turning east onto 3rd street as yhou head north on U. S. Hwy 41

Park Features Include:

  • Young Children's Playground

  • Park Pavilion

  • Boat Launch and Dock

  • Fishing Pier and Wetlands Walkway

  • Swimming Beach

  • Picnic Area and Shelter

This spacious 6-acre park features 900 ft of shoreline and hosts Chassell's largest annual event, the Copper Country Strawberry Festival. Sponsored by the Chassell Lions Club, this event attracts thousands of visitors each year.

 

 Misslitz Field Baseball Park

Home of the Chassell Little League and the Chassell 76 Women's Softball Team. Owned and operated by Chassell Township. the field features two dugouts, a backstop, a utility building, scoreboard, and batting cage, plus bleachers for fans. Each summer, both teams maintain regular game schedules and host league tournaments.

Misslitz field is accessible from Second Street. Turn into the Chassell Heritage Center parking lot and continue west past the museum.

 

 Chassell Classic Ski Trail

This classic cross country ski trail features 10 kilometers of beautiful groomed and tracked trails. Ski over rolling hills, through sunny pastures, past picturesque ravines and under a canopy of protective forest. Home of the annual Copper Country Classic Ski Race.

You'll find the trailhead of the Chassell Classic by parking in the Chassell Heritage Center parking lot just off Second Street.

 

 Community Ice Rink

Chassell Township owns and operates an outdoor ice rink. Posted hours accommodate both free skating and hockey. The rink is lit for night skating and a warming shed is always open for skaters and visitors. Community volunteers chaperone and help with maintenance and improvements.
